DESCRIPTION
As Help Desk Specialist you are responsible for being able to execute monitoring, triage and resolving DDSystem support tickets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Any confidential information must be handled in an appropriate manner. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot minor IT system/software/equipment malfunctions and correct them as required
  • Forward tickets, in a timely manner (30 minutes), to Help Desk Level III or IV when dealing with more complex tasks and requests
  • Take complete ownership of issues until it is appropriate to escalate
  • Set and load computer equipment with required items and prepare computer equipment for operation
  • Install and perform basic maintenance to peripheral equipment – printers, scanner, etc
  • Check client backups and other monitoring services as required
  • Assist with fieldwork as requested
  • Maintain log of all worked preformed and processed, and turned in to supervisor/scheduler by the end of the day
  • Maintain and update client documentation
  • Able to work overtime as required and off hours when requested in advance
  • Other tasks as assigned

DESCRIPTION
This position has similar responsibilities as Help Desk I-II (monitoring, triaging and resolving DDSystem Support tickets), however the individual is expected to be able to resolve issues and perform tasks of a more advanced nature. This position also entails first level support for items escalated by Help Desk I-II and to perform basic supervisory functions for those individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to identify and organize tickets according to priority
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues
  • Basic remote access solution implementation and support
  • Troubleshoot minor to moderate IT system/software/equipment malfunctions and correct them as required
  • Help Desk Supervision
  • Monitor Help Desk I-II personnel to insure that proper troubleshooting methods are being utilized and tickets are being addressed in a timely manner
  • Help Desk Technical Assistance
  • Review forwarded tickets from Help Desk I-II in a timely manner (30 minutes), resolves issue or escalates to Operations Manager and/or Engineer
  • Install and perform basic to intermediate repairs and maintenance to peripheral equipment – printers, scanner, etc.
  • Check client backups and other monitoring services as required
  • Install and train clients on Windows 7 & 8 Professional operating systems
  • Perform proper data removal and disposal of equipment for recycling
  • Assist with fieldwork as requested
  • Maintain log of all worked preformed and processed, and turned in to supervisor/scheduler by the end of the day
  • Maintain and update client documentation
  • Able to work overtime as required and off hours when requested in advance
  • Other tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferably an Associate Degree in general electronics, computer science or equivalent
